Ludd Family 160-17 109th Avenue Jamaica, NY 11433 On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Anthony John Ludd was called home to Heaven. Anthony was born on August 21, 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. James and Gladys Ludd at Kings County hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He was the youngest of seven children. Anthony attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn. Upon graduating, he joined The United States Army in 1984 and served his country as a Medical Specialist in Germany. He received a well-deserved honorable discharge for his services. Brooklyn, born and raised, Anthony (aka Ant Man) was cool and “fly” yet very humble. His warm demeanor, kindness, and great sense of humor - a trait shared amongst him and his siblings, made him well loved by many. At a young age, he met his childhood sweetheart and wife Sandra on the neighborhood street of Prospect Place. They were married in holy matrimony on August 18, 2000. Anthony was blessed with four children, two girls and two boys. In 1992, Anthony began his career as a Transit Worker with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), which he was very proud of, until his passing. During his 25+ years at MTA he formed many great relationships and used his many years of work experience to teach his children important life lessons about hard work, courage, and perseverance. Anthony loved his family and enjoyed creating new and exciting experiences with them. His favorite past time was watching football and if you knew him, you learned to never disturb him on Sunday or Monday nights during football season. He enjoyed having a nice glass of Cognac and appreciated quality over quantity in everything. He was a protector and a provider and brought charm and class in all that he did. He adored his mother with every breath in him. He was strong yet mellow. A gentle giant that was so very loved by his loved ones and friends. Anthony J. Ludd was a great man. Preceding Anthony in passing are his parents, James and Gladys Ludd, brother Gregory Pinkney-Ludd, and sisters Jamie Ludd and Anne Ludd. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ludd, and his children: Willena Ludd-Colas (Phillip Colas), Jarett Ludd, Anthony Ludd, Jr., and Savannah Ludd. He leaves to cherish his memories his brother Arthur Ludd, sister Alethea Ludd, brother David Ludd, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved friends, and his MTA family. Unfortunately, due to the recent changes in our communities and world in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Homegoing service will be limited. Frantz Daniel Jean Funeral Services Inc. request the help of the family to have a revolving number of 10 people at a time in the chapel during the viewing. Although we wish all loved ones can be present, the service after the viewing is strictly for the immediate family. These actions are to practice "social distancing" and to avoid exceeding the preferred gathering limit of the funeral home. We also ask that all those who are experiencing flu like symptoms, feeling sick, or have a compromised immune system, and those who are diabetic to stay home as you are more prone to being impacted. Family and friends who are unable to physically be present can send their sympathies on this bereavement profile and also to the address listed below. Please note the family have no affiliation to the charities listed on this site. Condolences to the family can be sent to: Ludd Family 160-17 109th Avenue Jamaica, NY 11433 Thank you for your understanding, prayers, love, and sympathies during this difficult time. Sandra, Willena, Phillip, Jarett, Anthony Jr, and Savannah
