Obituary of Edmond Desvarieux

Edmond Desvarieux, son of Hector and Caramie Desvarieux, born in Miragoane Haïti. He was a carpenter foreman by trade and experience that traveled many countries of the world with different construction companies to help rebuild related cities after climate devastation. He was a devoted husband to his wife Dieudonne borned Jocecito, whom he fell in love with when she was 19 years old and married for 67 years. Though she had miscarriages, by God’s grace they have had successfully raised 7 children together and blessed with 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His children and grandchildren saw him as their superhero through his actions and ways of living. He was also a loving uncle and substitute dad to his nieces, nephews and their children. Throughout his life, though gifted in woodworking and carpentry, those rough hands were always ready to hug and pat you on the back, to carry the little ones over his shoulder so they can see the world anew. He always has a dollar for the corner store. His daily encouraging words always geared to a reverent surrendering of everything into the hands of God and let go and let God, for HE alone has all the solutions. He believed in living by examples, integrity, steadfast and, uncompromising adherence to moral and ethical principles, soundness of moral character, and consequently, with honesty he would say builds character. He never let anything make him feel down. Whenever we felt scared he would say "Don't be scared to take a chance on tomorrow for that is where the adventure begins. Well! Dad! You have done all of us good, we are very proud of you, you have fulfilled your respectable and dignified mission on this earth; we salute your grandeur d’âme. Saint Edmond started his new adventure on April 7th, 2020 when he took his last breath. He is now walking the golden pavement with all those who have gone before him and is with the Lord. Amen!
